Nurses' political and advocacy activity strives to improve family and patient-centered healthcare outcomes. Nurses may strengthen their ability to influence policy and practice by working together to achieve positive results in all settings. According to Warner (2003), collective strength is a robust political competency that will guarantee nurses press for policies and endure all difficulties to ensure patients and their families access the finest healthcare possible. Nurses' voices are louder when they are part of a larger group (Warner, 2003). They also provide advocacy advice and develop more solid recommendations that the political class cannot ignore.
By joining new nursing professional organizations in my state and country, I intend to demonstrate my dedication to collective strength. I'm currently a member of AANP, Florida Nurses Coalition, and ANA, which provide opportunities for registered nurses to participate in policy creation.
