There are various challenges that are experienced when an individual is doing an online speech. These include: technical complexities which may be exhibited through the a computer crashing in the process of the presentation, an external microphone failing to pick up the audio or the internet connection dropping out randomly. These are some of the issues that may end up completely derailing a live virtual event ty would be otherwise successful. This is contrary to when one is speaking face to face as the only thing one has to worry about is the audience attending the meeting (Darby and Lang, 2019).
The second challenge is the presence of attendees who are distracted which is one among the leading challenges related to virtual presentation that one has to overcome. It is quite complex to have the attention of an audience when Instagram, Google plus there emails can be accessed anytime. There is also the issue of multitasking when one is presenting as it results into the individual not able to understand the information that is been shared online. However, when one is doing the meeting on a face to face basis, they get to monitor the attention of their audience ensuring there is minimal distractions happening.
Third challenge is the impersonal experience. Despite the fact that Webinars are suitable devices as they enable one to interact with the audience on a face to face manner, the truth is that it cannot give the experience as when individuals are holding an in-person conversation. This may make the virtual presentations to become less personal when taking place. Whenever a person is not capable of connecting with their audience on an actual human level, then they experience visual presentation difficulties such as distracted attendees as well as having attendees who are disengaged. This is not the same case with a face to face conversation (Lawrence, et.al, 2018).
