You will be assigned a group with one of the following topics:

Follow these guidelines when completing this assignment. Speak with your faculty member if you have questions.
1. Students will work in an assigned group.
2. Each group will be assigned a specific SDOH domain to research.
3. Using at least two credible, current, primary sources, research the health concerns for your assigned domain. Although HP2030 is one example of an approved source, your subsequent sources must be from professional journals or other current, primary, scholarly sources.
4. Using the PowerPoint template provided, prepare a presentation that includes the following information:
i. Introduction: include the origin of the concern and any specific population or culture of focus.
ii. Describe the population impacted by the specific SDOH.
iii. How is the population impacted by the SDOH? Stated another way, what is the effect on the population of the SDOH?
iv. When is the impact seen from the SDOH? For example, in times of ill health.
v. Where is the impact from the SDOH most visible in the population? For example, increased use of emergency rooms.
vi. What can be done by nursing to improve the wellness of the population affected by the SDOH?
vii. Any additional information the group wishes to share about the SDOH.
viii. Conclusion: Summarize the most important points of the presentation.
ix. Present two select all that apply (SATA) NCLEX style questions based on the information in the presentation. The rationale for both correct and incorrect options must be verbalized during the presentation.
5. Check-ins with each group will be during class in weeks 3, 5, and 6.
a. Each group member will need to show their progress on the project.
b. Week 3 check-in deliverables:
i. Title/topic chosen by the group.
ii. Supporting resources (articles) for the project.
iii. Assigned areas of responsibility for each group member.
c. Week 5 check-in deliverables:
i. Provide final supporting resources (articles) for all aspects of the project.
ii. Each student will provide finalized PowerPoint slide(s) for assigned areas of responsibility.
d. Week 6 check-in deliverables:
i. Assemble complete PowerPoint for review.
ii. Dress rehearsal within group for presentation.
6. As a group, present the information to the class in a 15-minute presentation.
i. Use of the approved PowerPoint template is required. Details on the slide content is listed below.
ii. Use the PowerPoint as a guide; you shouldn’t be reading word for word from the slides.
iii. Be sure to make the presentation engaging and visually appealing.
iv. You may use up to an additional five (5) minutes for the SATA NCLEX style question review with the audience.
7. After all presentations, complete and submit your Peer Evaluation Form. This portion of the documents is due by 1159 pm EST on the day of presentations. You must review each member of the group to receive points. Failure to submit a complete peer evaluation document will result in no points earned in this category.
8. Develop a PowerPoint presentation of the content that you will present:
i. Title slide with names of all group members in alphabetical order by last name.
ii. Identify a measurable outcome for the presentation of the content to a professional audience.
iii. Present the content related to your assigned SDOH.
iv. The final slide should include all references for your information in APA 7th edition format.
9. Professional behavior: All group members are expected to participate with their group members to prepare and present the assignment. All class members are expected to be attentive with their video turned on during all presentations. Finally, all class members must be in business casual attire for the presentation.
