Step 1:

–Read “Act II: Int. Golden Palace” and “Act III: Ethnic Recurring,” carefully tracking the major characters (with their various names and titles) and the major plot events. You can track these characters in your notebook or by simply making notes in the margin of your book. Also track and jot down any questions that you have about the reading.

Step 2:

-Create a short (100-150 words) reading journal entry for each act. Your entries should include the following:

• A  brief summary of the major events of the act and any important information you learn about the central characters of the book.
• A list of some of the questions you have about the act and some possible answers to those questions. (If you have absolutely no questions about the act, then think of some questions about the events, characters, or major themes of the act that might generate interesting group discussion)

Step 3:

-Submit your journal entries as a single pdf or word document before class on Monday.
