Rutgers University when The Covid 19 Pandemic Hit the Whole World Discussion

Over the last year and a half, we have all, to some degree, experienced the effects of the unprecedented covid-19 pandemic. The crisis has thrown off all predictions, projections, expectations and plans, and we've been adjusting continuously to rapid change in so many facets of our lives ever since – from our health and well-being, to work, to our education, to the broader economic and global ramifications of the pandemic. In times of great crisis, leaders and leadership are vital to setting a path forward – and not just in the workplace but in our personal lives as well.

Consider an example of leadership that you have witnessed over the past 15 months – at work, at school, at home, in the world at large – that, to you, exemplified good leadership during a time of crisis. Use the frameworks of either transformational leadership theory and/or adaptive leadership theory to describe the example you witnessed. What about this leader's behaviors or actions worked for followers and others? Was there something, in particular, that worked most effectively as people were experiencing a crisis (and may not have worked during 'normal' times)? How were people impacted? Were there other successful outcomes that resulted from the leadership displayed (using either transformational or adaptive theories to translate this)?
