I'm working on a geology exercise and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

short geos homework about oceanography it will be attached but here is a sample:

1. What are the approximate latitude (°N or °S) and longitude (°E or °W) of the island? (write your answers in the appropriate boxes on the map and be sure to include the hemisphere notation)

2. What wind belt is this island in? (Easterlies, Westerlies, or Polar Easterlies?) (write in space provided on map)

3. Draw an arrow in the appropriate box showing the direction of the

prevailing wind near the island. For example, the arrow to the right would be

appropriate for a position in the westerly wind belt in the northern hemisphere.

4. Draw an arrow in the appropriate box showing the direction that surface currents would flow near the island.

5. Determine the average water temperature near the island (write in space provided on map).

6. Determine the average salinity of seawater near the island (write in space provided on map).
