–Robert Frost's "The Gift Outright" (in the body of your paper, address #1-2 under Considerations for Critical Thinking and Writing, p. 775)

–Billy Collins's "Litany" (in the body of your paper, explain what you learned about his approach to the poem from his comments in On Writing 'Litany' on p. 796-797)

–Julia Alvarez's "Queens, 1963" (in the body of your paper, address #1-4 under Considerations for Critical Thinking and Writing, p. 812)

While writing this paper, you can only use the Bedford textbook. You can incorporate biographical info and anything from the critical perspectives sections from the chapter on your chosen poet in the Bedford textbook.
