I'm working on a psychology discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

1) Listen to Ch. 7 – Middle Childhood Social Emotional Development audio lecture and develop a response to the embedded discussion question(s). Make this the first part of your thread response. You may elect to respond to both embedded discussion questions (one is required); the second response will be scored as bonus points (+3 points possible).

2) Choose one of the following to extend your thread response:

• Take the Parenting Style Quiz (Ch. 7) – Share your reflections/impressions of the results. Note that this is intended as an educational adjunct, it is not a diagnostic assessment. Even if you are not yet a parent, you can respond in terms of how you think you would if you were to be a parent. Share any relevant ideas or questions this raises about Baumrind's parenting styles as addressed in the lecture or text.
• Watch Anti-Bullying (Dateline) and/or Being #13 – Anderson Cooper : Discuss your impressions of what is being presented in these videos in the context of material that is also presented in the text with regard to peer relationships and peer pressure. In what way are they critical and relevant to development at this stage of life overall? Discuss and explain.
• Bobo Doll Study / Childhood Aggression video (Optional): Attachment & Strange Situation (Ch. 5) and Bobo Doll Study (Ch. 7) This is a reposted link containing details of the Bobo Doll experiment. Note that the bobo doll video is the second video in the link (it begins roughly 8 minutes in from the beginning of the video series).
