self-reflection of my experience as a manager in the interviewing skills practical roleplay. You will need to pick two areas from the relevant feedback form ( i have chosen two key skills below, developing rapport and questioning tchniques) that will be handed over during the activity and reflect critically on what transpired during the session, also considering areas for improvement and how these could be realised. It is essential to draw on academic literature to develop and support your reflection (minimum 6-7 sources)

1. Description – give a short description of the situation (eg: what this reflection is about, i am going to focus my role as a manager, i am going to reflect on these two key skills..developing rapport and questioning techniques..etc)
2. feelings- what were you thinking, talk about performance ..eg: i decided to focus on funelling through questions..because i wanted to get an idea of..
3. evaluation
4. anaylze- relate it to theory..eg: i decided to ask these and these questions as i wnated to build a good rapport..studies shows that..etc
5. conclude and put action.- wrap it up all and talk about how u could improve in future..eg: while i did this and this, i could have improved on these areas etc..

please find below a short description of how the interview went. what i did right and what i did wrong or what i could have done better.
it was an interview for human capital and actuarial industrial placement at Deloitte company.
i started the interview by greeting the candidate and introduced my self as the manager.
i clearly explained the purpose and structure of the interview. and asked her if she had any trouble finding the office. tried to make her feerl comfortable. and then started the interview by asking her to tell me about her self and the below mentiones questions in order. i looked very attentive, made good eye contact and encouraged candidate particiaption. did maintain control very well and funneld through topics, however the pace of the interview was a bit rushed and finihsed earlier than intended. ending the interview, i didnt directly signal the end of the interview. i did thank the candidate and properly expalined her the next stage.

I will be focusing on 2 key skills from this role play to write the reflection , which are Developing rapport and Questionoing techniques.
1. developing rapport
-greeted candidate and made introductions.
-explained the purpose and sturcture of interview
-used suitable opening questions
-encourage candidate participation
2. questioning techniques
– i did funnel through topics.. i used direct questions first and then asked situational and behavoiral questions, however i did not ask probing questions. ( i could have improved on this )
– did not side track the candidate
-avoided personal intrusive or discrminatroy questions.
The reflection should be Thoughtful, critical and perceptive insights throughout into strengths and limitations of students own performance.
The analysis is clearly informed by theory.
Excellent links are made between theory and students performance.
