Hi Everyone.
Just wanted to provide you some information on what I look for in discussion responses.
Example Question: Why is quality management in health care and hospitals so important?
Example Response:
I would write something like so…
Quality in health care/hospitals are extremely important. I want to have a great patient experience when I go, so I try to provide patients with an even greater experience. For instance, if you take your car to a mechanic, the people in the auto shop can be friendly and listen to your complaints but the most important factor is whether or not they fix the problem with your car. Similarly, when you go to a hospital or provider, you want them to fix your problem and help make you better. Quality management is centered around the management and control of producing great patient outcomes, and a healthcare environment that will facilitate the production of those beneficial outcomes. Customer/patient satisfaction is a very important part of quality control and this is an aspect of the health care business that should definitely receive due consideration. It’s all about quality management, control, and improvement. Alfred Sarkissian (2016) wrote an article in the Houston Chronicle. The article supports the aforementioned. Sarkissian stated "Quality management seeks to improve effectiveness of treatments and increase patient satisfaction with the service. With an aging population and rising health care costs, quality management in health care is gaining increased attention." (para. 1).
