Predictive Analytics for Solving Homelessness in the United States

For this assignment, you must write a research paper that identifies a practical problem to be solved with a plan to solve the problem.

Your paper should address the following:

• Describe the variables problem to be solved. Explain how you know this is a problem. Justify why solving this problem is important (e.g. generates significant ROI, solves a significant customer pain point).
• Specify the required data sources needed to solve the problem and how you would obtain those data sources.
• Explain how you would handle the data and prepare the data for modeling.
• Specify which types of models you would test and why.
• Specify the potential strengths and weaknesses associated with your proposed approach.
• Specify and justify what information you will present from your findings, and how you will communicate that information to your audience (e.g. stakeholders).
• Cite and provide examples from the literature to support your research hypothesis, your use of methods, and your statistical conclusions.
