I believe that the mind and brain are fundamentally different, but that they cannot exist without one another. However, I do not believe that the mind and brain are identical. Descartes claims that the mind is indivisible since he cannot perceive any pieces in himself. The body is divisible, on the other hand, because he cannot imagine a body without components.
