In the meantime, the rate of property crime decreased by 55%, with significant decreases in burglary rates (-69%), theft/larceny (-49%), and the theft of motor vehicles (-64%) (Gramlich, 2020).
On the other hand, England’s crime rate is among the highest worldwide. The recorded reported and recorded criminal activity in England is merely under 5.5 million criminal offenses in the 2020/21 (Clark, 2021). Nonetheless, it is essential to highlight that these numbers include police records in Wales and England, the lowest recorded number since 2016/17 (Clark, 2021). The Bundeskriminalamt, otherwise identified as the German Federal Criminal Police Office, records these offenses, including every criminal offense that the police know, including attempted illegal activity. However, the statistics do not include minor law offenses, neither are state criminal offenses or traffic offenses. German law enforcement has recorded an increasing rate of crime clearance (SRD, 2021).
Agency structural differences
The FBI represents the principal Justice Department investigative branch in the United States. Also known as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI probes or assesses federal crimes, collects information concerning organizations or individuals it considers to be engaging in different activities that could endanger the security of the nation, as well as gathers lawsuit evidence involving the federal government. The FBI is active and has different field offices in fifty-six major American cities, including 355 RAs (resident agencies) countrywide. Generally, BKA is accountable for law enforcement communication with the judicial authorities and the police, including different public authorities worldwide (Bundeskriminalamt, n.d). The BKA places significant emphasis on international coordination in law enforcement. Moreover, the BKA has vital contacts with nearly every central police office worldwide. According to the Bundeskriminalamt website, the BKA under “Interpol Wiesbaden’s” address as the ICPO (International Criminal Police Organization) National Central Bureau utilizes the most current communication processes to transfer messages with the bureau’s counterparts internationally (Bundeskriminalamt, n.d).
Budget Structure
