Get it written →1) For this essay visit a museum if possible or use a museum website, and discuss two works of art that you have observed in person. Include a link to the museum’s website. You may visit a museum where you have access to art works from the time periods/cultures addressed in this class; or, you also have the option of discussing contemporary art viewed at a museum or gallery.
2) If you cannot visit an art museum or a local art gallery, you may select any two works in your textbook. *If a visit is not possible and you prefer to select work from your textbook, cite the illustration number.
3) Indicate which option you chose in the title of your essay.
Many students choose to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art (or Cloisters), Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Guggenheim, or the Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC, for example. El Museo del Barrio, the Frick Collection and the Neue Gallerie are also interesting options. Online- the sky is the limit, of course!
