In this week’s lecture, we discuss disinfection methods as well as Primary, Concurrent, and Terminal Disinfection. For this week’s assignment, pretend you are getting ready to open a new embalming care center. You are training new embalmers on the ins and outs of disinfection. Create a slide show training presentation using power point. Highlight the methods you want to use in your prep room for the three stages. Give information on the methods, give directions on how to effectively use your chosen methods, and give the pros and cons of the method you’ve chosen.  Be detailed: If part of your protocol involves scrubbing the counters as part of terminal disinfection, then tell what chemical surfactants you want used. 

Your power point should include:

A cover slide (what are we discussing)

Goals (what are we hoping to learn)

The highlight points (Slides should have basic information, not your full thoughts)

Speakers notes (These are your thoughts regarding the highlight points on the screen)

A bibliography

Photographs (If you want a certain scrub brush used, show it)

Minimum of 10 slides; maximum of 20.
