Early 20th Century:
• Look at the evolution of American economics leading up to the Great Depression
• Describe and evaluate WWI Battles and their consequences
• Look more fully at the Holocaust in American life
• Look more fully at the Internment of the Japanese. Choose of the 10 camps and focus on it
• Evaluate the culture of the 1950s, and illustrate how that culture shaped and defined America to becoming what it is today.
• Research the Cold War, and evaluate a few events from it, highlighting their causes and consequences
Your sources must consist of your textbook, 2 academic journals, 2 books, and 2 sources of your choosing. A list of potential topics can be located in the course information tab, but you are free to formulate your own topic, but it MUST be approved by me first. All topics should be submitted for approval no later than week 3. This paper should have a well formulated thesis, should be well organized and written, and should be well supported with logical, sound, and academically rigorous source material. (No Wikipedia or ask.com sources will be accepted.) In addition, you must have in-text citations, and provide a bibliography of sources used and consulted. Your bibliography page does not count as one of your 6 pages.
