The scope of your literature review is binary. Part 1 will provide a broad, general overview of the problem or issue you are researching that should include a short history of the subject matter you are researching and related literature. Part two shall focus on the specific narrowly defined issues that forms the basis for your paper. The literature for this section should be the most current, directly on point, and should ideally exhibit a fluid transition from part 1 to part 2. Both parts should provide context in terms of the scope of the issues, problems, or organization you are researching in summary form.
