A written analysis of a theatre production on video other than those assigned for class.
These instructions are for the written extra credit opportunity: A written analysis of a theatre production on video other than those assigned for class.
All directions must be followed or the paper will not be accepted. This must be a taped version of a live theatre performance; concerts, recitals, television productions and movies do not meet this requirement. In the video you will need to see and hear an audience like you did when viewing Hamilton. And the paper has to describe the production and the actors that you saw playing the plays characters. Do not restate the plot. If you have any doubt about your video selection, you need to check with us to see if your choice qualifies.
Your review must answer the following question: What was the main idea or theme of the play and how did the technical and performative aspects than you are focusing on in this production clarify that idea? YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU MERELY RE-TELL THE PLOT. THIS IS AN ANALYSIS PAPER AND YOU HAVE TO DISCUSS PRODUCTION ELEMENTS THAT YOU SAW IN THIS PLAY.
