The written assignment#2 will be a paper about the moral status of AI. Do you think that an AI is a moral agent? Do you think that an AI is a moral subject? Can an AI be a different kind of moral agent than human being? Can an AI be a special kind of moral subject? 

First, clearly mention your thesis. For example, “I argue that AI is a moral agent.”

Second, explain the topic and address the literature. You need to address at least one pro argument from the philosophical literature i.e. from the content of the course. For example, you need to clarify what you mean by being a moral agent. Then, you need to mention an argument based on which you think that AI is a moral agent. You summarize and write the argument in your own words.

Third, you need to address either one con argument against your thesis (for example, an argument that says AI is not a moral agent) or a criticism (objection) against the argument you have mentioned as your pro argument. You need to mention why you think that the con argument does not work or why you think that the criticism is not correct.
