Why are you pursuing your career of choice?

The reason I choose to pursue Christian Behavioral Science Psychologist with the focus on trauma is because there are so many who do not understand how to cope with the effects or symptoms. Most importantly, many do not understand how to cope with trauma in a Christian or spiritual way which is a more relational and holistic way. Honestly, I do not feel that I have done enough research in this avenue but; I do not feel that many have done much either. As time has progressed more have moved from God and close interactions with each other. There are fewer intimate relationships with each other and therefore human behavior has changed over many decades. There is an importance to pursue my passion because although many believe that the world may offer help with the advancement of technology; social media and the forms in which society has taken on as an acceptable way to interact, communicate, and express is hurting rather than helping many who are already hurt. Its well documented that excessive social media use is linked to mental health problems including depression and anxiety. Whats less documented but very relevant if youre a Christian is how social media may be affecting your spiritual health(Lusk,2021). It is important all understand the relationship and faith in God has much to do with the way he or she visualizes themselves and others but also may help relieve traumatic symptoms.
