Your deliverables are as follows:

1. Write down your personal preparedness plan and share it with your household. 

2. If you already have a plan, look it over in the light of what happened during a recent emergency in the news, and address one item that needs improvement. 

3. Talk to your boss about workplace preparedness What is expected of you during a disaster? (For doctors and nurses, the role is pretty clear. But until Hurricane Sandy, few knew that people who pump gas and people who know how to tweet had an important role)  How will what you need to do during an emergency impact your family’s needs? 

4. To receive credit for this activity, choose one of the following: 

1. 1. Submit a copy of your plan WITH ALL PERSONAL DATA REDACTED  (I don’t need to know your aunt’s phone number!) OR
   2. Submit a couple of paragraphs discussing the process of improving your preparedness OR 
   3. Submit a statement of outcome, either I have reviewed this information with my household and have updated my plan, or I have reviewed the information in this module and decline to participate in this activity.
