1. Research current media for information related to the COVID 19 pandemic
2. Search for credible information on the web and discern between myth and fact
3. Practice research techniques (information literacy) and source citation
4. Practice scientific writing skills and literacy
5. Be able to participate in a discussion based upon your findings to educate your peers

Requirements for the Paper

• Length should be between four pages and six pages long, double-spaced 
• Font should be Times New Roman 12 pt size (can be 11 pt if you went a little over six pages) 
• Format of the paper should have an introductory paragraph, a number of body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph (a paragraph has at least three sentences)
• References should be cited at the end of the paper in APA format (does not count towards the length of the paper) AND referenced using in-text citations (maximum of one direct quote in the paper).  For example:  Leaf-cutter ants cut significantly smaller leaf fragments in high-wind conditions (Rodriguez 2014).
• Use the CDC, the WHO, or the NIH as at least one of your sources and include a minimum of four sources that you actually use in your paper.

• Write a quality research paper using the requirements listed above
• Include one paragraph discussing how you determined the trustworthiness of your sources 
• Optional: include one paragraph detailing any “fake news” that you came across in your research
