During yourcourse of study in the M.Ed. program you have examined issues relating toethics in the educational setting and the importance of promoting diversity.
In thisjournal, you will reflect on these skills needed to complete the program:
Ethics: Examinemajor legal, social, and ethical issues affecting education in diverse learningenvironments.
Diversity: Promotedifferentiated learning and multi-ethnic, multicultural, and global awarenessand appreciation in instructional methods, program curricula, and assessmentpractices.
Requirements:
Write a 12page paper in which you:
Reflect uponwhat you have learned throughout your coursework related to ethical issues ineducation, and discuss the fundamental manner in which your ideas, values,beliefs, and practices have or have not changed as a result.
Examine howyour coursework in the M.Ed. program and your work experience have helped youto grow in the areas of ethics and diversity and how you have used or will usethese competencies in your current or future position.
Attach 13pieces of your chosen previous assignments as artifacts to demonstrateyour competencies in the areas of ethics and diversity. Identify the ID andtitle (for example: EDU599 Education Capstone) of the courses for which youhad produced the assignments.
o If forsome reason you do not have artifacts, you will need to provide a briefartifact (12 pages) exemplifying the importance of this skill in education.This artifact should ideally be something you would produce in the field, suchas a short lesson plan, department memo, or training outline. Whatever it is,it must be related to this skill focused on in this reflection. Then, write 12pages reflecting on how these skills are important in the field of education.
