This documentary brings to light a very interesting phenomenon in police ethics which is known as “noble cause corruption”, or the act of doing something bad to produce good. The series is about two drug lab technicians, one who is a simple drug addict and the other one who is a noble cause actor (although unintentional). This story connects very well with this chapter because it opened the door for massive liability to the Commonwealth, as well as the production of a major lack of trust in Massachusetts law enforcement.
