Purpose
This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:
- Engage in open dialogue with your instructor and classmates.
- Discuss key concepts and course assignments.
- Ask questions you may have related to the course and assignments.
Overview
Class meetings enable students and professors to communicate in real-time, sharing visuals and ideas online. You will be notified of the date and time of this meeting. You should expect to be online for approximately 1 hours. Your professor will lead an activity during which you will be demonstrating your understanding of these concepts.
If you are unable to attend a class meeting, please let your professor know. You will be able to view the recorded session later and complete an alternate assignment.
Alternate Assignment
View the recording of the class meeting, taking notes as you watch. Create a Word document in which you:
- Prepare a two-page outline of the session. *Note: this is an outline, not a paper. Bullet points, phrases, sentence fragments, charts, etc. are okay.
- During the session, your professor will ask your classmates to do an activity. You are to mimic their activity. In 1-2 paragraphs at the end of your outline, provide your “answer” as if you were doing the activity.
Submit your Word document no later than the Sunday following the class meeting.
Action Items
- Review your assignments and note any questions you have.
- Join the meeting at least 10 minutes before it starts to ensure that all technology is working correctly.
- Actively participate during the class meeting. If you cannot attend, watch the recorded session and complete the alternate assignment. Submit your Word document.
