Compare the business culture of your home country (USA) and another country of your choice

You will prepare a 1200 to 1800 word report (excluding charts, graphics, title page, and citation page) that compares the business culture of your home country (probably the US) and another country of your choice.

Your paper must comply with the following details:

• You must reference at least one of the following theories for your selected countries. These are found in chapter 3.
  • Hall’s high and low context
  • Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck’s cultural framework
  • Hofstede’s dimensions of culture
  • Trompenaars’ dimensions of culture

• You must have at least six different sources that you reference.
  • At least two must be from academic journals.
  • At least one must be an interview with someone who has done business in the chosen country. If they are not native to the country, they must have lived there for a total of at least 6 weeks.
  • Different parts of the same web site are NOT considered separate sources. These would be considered as different chapters in the same book, and a book counts as one source.
  • Wikipedia may NOT be used as one of your sources.

• I am not requiring you to follow APA style or similar, but the appearance of the paper must be professional. To achieve the latter, use the following writing guidelines:
  • Use Times New Roman, or Arial font, 12-point, double spaced.
  • Include a separate title page with your title, name, date, my name, and class name and section (our class designator is MGMT 330G).
  • Do not provide a table of contents, or abstract.
  • Separate paragraphs by one blank line with no indentation.
  • Headings should be used to separate and organize content to provide contrast and help the reader access the content more efficiently. 
  • Use APA style in-text citations and references page(s).
  • The text of your paper must be your original writing. If you quote another source, be sure to provide a reference to that source, and include a reference page that lists all sources used to prepare your paper (see the definition of academic misconduct and its consequences in the last section of this syllabus).
  • The tone of your writing must be formal. Keep the material in the third person as much as possible and avoid colloquialisms and gossip.
