Chapter 3 lacks more detailed and precise elaboration on the families of laws, as it is crucial to identify and distinguish different elements of each in the overall understanding of the international legal systems around the world. Hence 6 model nations serve as an exemplar of how different families of laws shaped societies and systems of those countries. The list is nowhere near exhausting when we have different regions and continents operating under one or the other system of law: Civil, common, etc. Therefore Chapters 3 and 4 could and should be reorganized into one.

 

Furthermore, your reference to the ICC needs to be much more defined and clear. For example, Chapter 6 discusses courts. Depending on the family of law, a certain national court is operating under different procedures, and the roles of legal professionals engaged in its work also differ. Introducing the ICC into this chapter should therefore have a certain logic, and reference to it should provide a clear correlation/comparative assessment to national courts.
