Case Study

Based on your review and analysis of the “The Invisible Sponsors” case study (Kerzner, 2017, pp. 451-452), address the following key discussion topic elements:

• Describe the role and responsibilities of the project sponsor.
• Describe the role and responsibilities of the project manager.
• Did the performance of the project sponsor affect the project managers performance? If so, how? If not, how should it?
• While incorporating project organizing or initiating documents or artifacts, present a recommendation for the schedule dilemma described in the case study.

Post an initial, substantive response by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. MT, and respond to two or more peers with substantive responses by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. MS. A substantive initial post addresses all the key topic elements using approximately 150-200 words. Substantive peer responses should be a minimum of 100 words. Your responses should build upon and extend the dialog posted by another student, or the instructor, through the integration of personal experience and/or additional resources that inform the discussion topic.

Reference at least one source from among the required or recommended readings and at least one credible outside source (a scholarly reference other than the textbook or readings);
