One of the requirements in this course is a reflection paper discussing how this course has affected your personal position towards the death penalty. Students should address whether their personal position towards the capital punishment changed or evolved as a result of taking this course and in what way; what specific facts/information/aspects of the course have been especially meaningful and impactful in this regard, etc. The reflection paper is intended as a means for the student to self-reflect and analyze their informed view of the death penalty as well as to demonstrate the knowledge obtained from the course. Reflection papers should be 4-5 pages long (12-pt font, double-spaced). 85% of your grade will depend on the content of the paper: the depth of the analysis + evidence of familiarity with the information presented in the course. 15% will be based on the quality of your writing (grammar, spelling, logical structure of the narrative). The paper should represent a cohesive and logically structured narrative (i.e. no bullet points and alike).
