A minimum length 5-page paper on this topic will be due on the last day of class, April 17th. Students will be expected to perform outside research in completing their papers. The last two class periods will be focused on short PowerPoint presentations of student’s findings and will represent 10% of your grade. This paper must be submitted through Canvas.
Your Instructions:
1) You will write your paper on the topic that you have chosen or that I have assigned. This will also be the focus of your PowerPoint presentation.
2) This is a research paper. You will need to cite at least 10 peer-reviewed, research articles. This means ones you find in the Berkeley online library, Google Scholar, etc. I am not looking for you to cite Wikipedia. Do not cite articles from cites like Vice or Vox or Buzzfeed – if you must use a news article, it should be from a website like the New York Times.
3) Remember that this is a paper and topic grounded in forensic psychology. Give a short overview and dive into a more substantial analysis. I am looking for a thorough examination and investigation into a topic – not a book report. If you have questions about this, email me.
3) I highly recommend bringing your paper to the Academic Success Center before turning it in. They will make sure you meet all aspects of the grading criteria.
