Part 1 ask students to select a real-life company and analyse their international supply chain networks and give recommendations for improving their global supply chain. Please follow the below instructions: Select a multinational company Analyse the firms international business strategy (International, Global Product, Localisation, Transnational Strategy) Analyse the firms supply chain strategy (Cost vs responsiveness trade off) Analyse the strategic fit between firms international business strategy and supply chain strategy (looks for gaps in the strategic fit) Critically examine each of the elements of the supply chain: o Analyse facilities o Sourcing/Procurement o Inventory o Transportation/Distribution o Information sharing. Finally show how these five elements are connected to each other in their global supply chain distribution network, and critically analyse for gaps in their distribution network. You should be able to draw your own distribution network of the company. You should end up with recommendations (between 3-5) for improving their global supply chain. The recommendations should directly stem from the gaps in the analysis. This include gaps in the strategic fit in the international business strategy and supply chain strategy; gaps in the elements (wherever applicable) in the supply chain; and finally gaps in how they are interconnected in the supply chain network. Also, you are expected to use minimum 8-12 journal references within your essay. 

Part 2 requires students to implement the recommendationsfrom coursework 1. Please follow the below instructions:  You cannot change the company  The report will start with the summary of the recommend at ion s provided in coursework 1.  First section should explain how the company can implement some or all of the recommendations by making changes in the following: Global Procurement Changes It include but not limited to the following: o International supplier selection o Buying from international suppliers o Managing international suppliers  This section should explain how this company can implement the recommendation through expanding and/or sharing better knowledge. These include but not limited to: o Making changes in global manufacturing and distribution networks (supply chain redesign) This include expanding existing networks, rearranging existing networks etc. o Facilitating technology and knowledge transfer within the supply chain network o Improving absorptive capacity to help the technology and knowledge transfer o Supply Chain Analytics o Integrating technology/disruptive technology in supply chain management  Finally, identify some of the possible problems that can be faced while implementing the recommendations Discuss and justify your answer using in-depth analysis, critical evaluation of issues, supporting examples and evidence, relevant theoretical arguments, and proper references.
