This Project relates to chapter 2.8 Photography.

1. For this assessment, you will take one original photograph** that conforms to one of the following options (40% of grade):

• • Take a photograph using the same technique used by Edward Weston in his photograph of a Pepper, where he focused so closely on the pepper that it seemed almost abstract.
  • Take a photograph that relates photojournalism, like Lewis Wickes Hines photograph of the Ten Year Old Spinner.
  • Create a photocollage or photomontage of your own photographs, like Hannah Hochs Cut with the Kitchen Knife through the Las Weimar Beer0Belly Cultural Epoch of Germany
  • Take a photograph that demonstrates the snapshot aesthetic technique used by Garry Winogrand, in the photograph entitled Central Park Zoo
  • Take a photograph that emphasizes the composition of formal elements, such as seen in Alfred Stieglitzs The Steerage.

2. Once you choose one of the above options and take your picture, submit the following information along with your photograph: 
   • Explain the subject matter of your photograph (10 % of grade);
   • State which of the five options you chose to demonstrate with your photograph (10 % of grade);
   • Explain how your photograph demonstrates your choice (40 % of grade);

**DO NOT use a photograph that you took previously or found on the internet; take a new, original photograph for this assignment.  DO NOT take a photograph of a picture or painting, etc.
