4. Complete comparative competitive (one out of two alternative countries from step 3) strategic IB country analysis and selection of the best (target) country for the client corporations strategic business expansion.
5. Support your target country recommendation through theory application, factual material, and analysis.
INDUSTRY/COMPETITIVENESS ANALYSIS (a 10-page report in Word/PDF; individual small group)
Goal: to develop your knowledge of electronic and conventional information sources, comprehension and skills in competitive strategic IB industry analysis.
Steps
- Select one of the industry sectors from the globalEDGE database at (the industry must be different from the one used in your COUNTRY ANALYSIS).
- Select one of the corporations listed in the industry sector from step
- If interested, select a small/medium size enterprise (SME) of your own choice.
- Complete SWOT analysis for the client corporation with the view of its contemplated IB expansion. Relate your SWOT analysis to one of the two (your choice) IB modes: USA outward oriented export driven international marketing or USA outward oriented manufacturing/FDI driven international expansion.
- Complete competitive strategic competitive global industry analysis supporting the client corporations strategic positioning in IB expansion.
