Before you submit the Evaluation Invention activity due Saturday, contribute at least one new thread and at least two replies to this forum:

In a new thread discuss the subject(s) you’re thinking about evaluating. Put that subject in your subject line. If you know for sure what you want to evaluate, write a paragraph explaining why you want to write about it and what makes it a good topic for you. If you’re deciding between topics, list some pros and cons of writing about each one.

In replies to at least two classmates’ threads, share what interests you or concerns you about your partners’ subjects. Also explain what criteria you’d expect your classmate to cover in an evaluation of that subject. For example, in a review of a science fiction novel, I’d want to hear about how unique or surprising the plot is; how complex and likeable the characters are; how richly the setting is developed; and how much scientific detail the writer goes into–as well as comparisons to other well-known science fiction books.
