• Now, in a 12-pt. font, double-spaced document, please answer the three questions below. You should number your answers for clarity (1, 2, and 3). Approach them as three independent short answers–you  do NOT need to make the answers form a cohesive paper with an intro/conclusion.  Each paragraph should be at least half a page (~150-200 words each).

   

  Question 1: Samuel Scott (video link above) provides data about marketing professionals’ use of social media as compared to average people’s use of social media. Generally, what do the data show to be the differences between these two groups? Do you agree with the conclusions/recommendations Mr. Scott draws from this data? Why or why not?   Question 2: Consistent with our textbook, Samuel Scott (link above), contends that different media channels are good for different purposes. Given the information presented in your textbook and Mr. Scott’s talk, what are several advantages of digital/social media as a channel?  [approximately 1 paragraph]

  Question 3: Conversely, given the information presented in your textbook and Mr. Scott’s talk, what are several advantages of traditional media? [approximately 1 paragraph]

  • Articulates advantages with clarity and specificity, using appropriate terminology

  Writing style, grammar, and citations for outside ideas/information [2.5 points]

  • Should clearly follow length and format directions (see above), be professionally-written (i.e, avoid contractions or informal language), and be free of grammatical errors. 
  • Outside sources should be properly cited in a formal citation format of your choosing (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.). [Note, you do not need to  formally cite our textbook or the video with Mr. Scott in a reference section, though you should make clear in your answers when you are referring to ideas that are not your own. If you choose to use information from any other sources, however, you must cite them formally.]
