The Final Exam for this section of ENGL 101 is worth 20% of your final grade.

In the Final Exam, you will be assigned 2 questions: 

• Question 1 – 600 word comparative essay focusing on Reading 10 + Reading 11 + Reading 12
  • graded /10
• Question 2 – 600 word comparative essay focusing on two parts/sections/passages of “Animal Farm” (Reading 13)
• (graded /10)

The Final Exam takes place from (all times Vancouver, BC; 12 hours from release to submission):

• Questions 1 and 2 released to students:
  • TUESDAY June 29 @ 10:00 AM

• Responses to questions 1 and 2 due:
  • TUESDAY June 29 @ 10:00 PM

The question and your response will require you to compare and contrast a specific theme in ALL THREE stories.

You are required to utilize specifics from what you have studied this semester (Theme < Mood < Tone < Literary Devices and Elements) to answer the question.

Requirements:

• 600 words (+/- 10 %)
• academic paragraph(s) format for your response, including your answer, evidence/examples from the readings, and your explanations
• use of minimum 3 direct quotations from the stories (at least on quote from each reading)
