                                                    CLASSMATE’S POST

Positive group learning experience one that comes to mind is my department had to attend training. The training was supposed to last the entire day (8 hours) and it was a great relief that we had a break away from the office. In this meeting, we got to meet other colleagues that we communicated with via email or telephone only. I had new workers so for them it was a great experience to meet the individuals who were responsible for approving their recommendations. Also, everyone was able to ask questions and learn more about their job and why things are done the way they were. 

Negative group learning experience

This accorded a couple of years ago; I attended a group meeting with what I call all the big leaders. First, the meeting started one hour late, then the speaker had no knowledge of the topic. The people in the room were my superiors and they had no respect for the speaker or anyone else in the room. There were supposed to have been handouts, no one could find them. This is the only meeting I wish I would not have attended; it was a waste of my time and the state money.
