Discussion: Change Management and Continuous PI

Assess the importance of ongoing engagement of a healthcare organization in performance improvement activities with regard to potential legal implications in areas such as tort law, negligence or malpractice, risk avoidance, organized medical staff, peer review protection, immunity from liability, sentinel events, disclosure of adverse events to patients and their family, quality improvement vs. research, or public health. You may relate to any of the scenarios discussed in the course, to any scenarios experienced in your work places or a new scenario you have read about. Suggest change management theories or practices that would help facilitate continuous PI activities.
