You will compose a thoughtful, informative, well-written research paper of 2500-3000 words (roughly 10-12 double-spaced pages) that explores a topic related to the course. As a first step, you will submit a statement of your proposed topic. Be sure you have written effective paragraphs and clean, clear, correct sentences. Give the paper an appropriate title at the top of page one (you need not use a separate title page). Put your name on the paper, the course number, your professor’s name, and the date.
