Get it written →-In a civilized society, it is crucial to have guiding principles. Those principles set a foundation for laws and rules used to govern people. They also can be carried over to all aspects of your personal life—family, friendships, work, community, and academics, to name a few. Walden University requires its students to follow certain rules as it relates to their studies and interactions with others. Knowing these rules and guidelines—and complying with them—will assist you in achieving your academic goals as a Walden student. To prepare for this Assignment: Review the resources related to academic integrity and SafeAssign in this week’s Learning Resources, as well as the Academic Writing Expectations Checklist. Think about what ethical behavior would look like in your personal life and academic studies. By Day 7 Submit a 200- to 300-word essay in which you identify what ethics looks like in the context of your personal leadership as a Walden student. Specifically: What is ethics, and why is it important for you to behave ethically? How can you, as a Walden student, conduct yourself ethically and in alignment with the University’s five guiding principles of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility? For each of the five guiding principles, provide at least one specific example of an action you will take. To support your proposed action examples, include at least two references to Walden’s Code of Conduct or other parts of the Student Handbook, or the other Learning Resources from this week that you feel are relevant. As a reminder, be sure to paraphrase, where possible, to demonstrate your understanding of the topic and provide the original sources of the information you reference in your essay. Be sure to use the Walden Undergraduate Paper Template, provided in this week’s Learning Resources, to complete your essay.
