At the conclusion of the HRM Simulation, your team will conduct a Management Audit of its performance for a year duration of the Simulation.
The Management Audit is a 4 – 5-page team analysis paper along with an appropriate number of 7 Power Point slides that includes charts, graphs, and detailed narrative explanations of how your team implemented their strategies to achieve their goals. For instance, if obtaining a high level of employee morale was one of your unmet goals, your paper would provide a thorough description of your team’s attempts to improve employee morale and outline possible reasons why you were unable to significantly improve it. Alternatively, if reducing accidents was a goal that your company achieved your paper would explain the efforts that were taken to successfully improve the safety of your organization. Do NOT include your actual quarterly reports in the paper.
Your Management Audit will clearly demonstrate your team’s effectiveness against your own benchmarks as well as industry averages. Your team will include a detailed analysis of their performance especially related to the goals and strategies that your team determined prior to Quarter 1.
You are also to include a section in your Management Audit paper and PPT slides that describes key learnings about managing an HR Department and enhancing employee effectiveness. What were some important insights that you learned about the job of an HR Director? What did you find most challenging? What part of the HRM Simulation did your team enjoy the most? Other issues you could address in this section include what you learned about lowering turnover or reducing grievances and what was most effective for you to improve productivity.
