So if Part B is reflective, how do I reference it?
omparative report- CONTINUATION OF ORDER- 46263.
I am attaching some important information have a look before proceeding. Its a PART-B of ISAP. (800 words). Expert response is a 4 videos where the lectures are talking, I can’t copy the videos but I have recorded the audio’s, because they are just talking in it. The 4 part of the audios I am attaching with this email. There are four audios, one for every portion of the PART- A.
STRICTLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN FOR WORD COUNT AND REFERENCES. I really don’t want to send the order back for changes.
Here is some extra points for more understanding.
Anne-Marie really wanted to address this but has been caught up with other urgent matters so asked me if I’d address the questions around referencing in iSAP Part B and how to manage the first part around similarities and differences. I’m going to try to answer several questions in this post. I may not answer specific questions, but will try to answer the core of each topic.
So how do I do similarities and differences for each of the five (5) learning outcome with only 250 words?
Anne-Marie has asked that you choose one (1) similarity OR difference for each learning outcome. You need to make it the most significant similarity or difference (not the most obvious) and rationalise why this is a significant similarity/difference.
So one similarity or difference per learning outcome. Make it the most significant (and justify it’s significance).
Do I need to use references in Part B?
In a word. . .Yes! Obviously you will need less references than Part A, but you still need to reference as necessary. These references must still be of a high standard.
What do I need to reference?
Anything that requires support from a source other than yourself. As a student you must supply evidence for any claim you assert. So if you state something as fact, you need to support it.
How many references will I need?
Enough to support any claims/conclusions/justifications you draw. For an academic paper a rough guide of 1 per 100 words is a good start. With a reflective piece however it will likely be a lot less. The best answer I can give is ‘enough’.
So if Part B is reflective, how do I reference it?
A reflection is a personal opinion, insight you have developed and obviously that does not need a reference. But you will be crtitically analysing your reflections, considering their importance and necessity and that will require evidence.
So lets break down Part B:
· Similiarities/differences – The similarity/difference won’t need references but your justification of it’s significance likely will.
· Reflection – This is where things will vary as I imagine your reflections will be numerous and varied here. This is the first time most of you will have done a case study like this so there is lots to reflect on! Reflections don’t need references as it is a structured examination of your own journey through an experience. However your reflections may link what you learned to the paper and to nursing in journal. You may rationalise a validation or justify something you said. These rationalisations or justifications would need to be supported by evidence. This is the section where the number of references will likely vary between students, depending on how you’re reflecting. Some may need several, it’s possible you will need none at all!
· Impact on practice – So this section will involve pulling a key learning theme or themes from your reflections and explaining how it will impact you as a healthcare student/practitioner. The theme itself won’t need referencing (as its coming from your own reflections) but linking its importance to your career as a nurse will undoubtedly need supporting evidence and rationalisation.
So how many references does Part B need? I don’t know. It will depend. I also think this is the wrong question to ask yourself in any paper. You need to look at your paper and ask yourself have I adequately supported my rationalisations and justifications (i.e. your critical analysis) with an appropriate array of high quality sources? If your answer is yes, then you have enough references, regardless of wether there are two or two hundred!
If you need help with this the library has wonderful video-based guides and the library support staff are AWESOME.
Hope this helps a little.
