Preventative Care Needs
We learn from the national institutes of health and human services that Pediatric systems must be more responsive to developmental and socializing needs of young children as well as their families. We learned from the literature that some countries have Dr. lead models while others rely on advanced practice registered nurses, but the goal should be a focus on a partnership with the families and anticipating and responding to the needs of families. In addition the literature suggests that there should be a seamless transition of services that fits the needs of a growing child. Evidence shows that the best outcomes for children are found when there is a focus on a child’s physical, Cognitive, emotional, and Socio economic development (Inkelas, M., & Oberklaid, 2018).

For the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, millions of children are not receiving the preventative care services that they should be resulting in higher morbidity and mortality rates. For children they educate us that medical and dental health is required in a preventative model in order to detect diseases and conditions that may be treatable at an earlier stage as well as helping to reduce any risk factors of future illnesses such as diabetes, cholesterol, and heart disease. In addition education and counseling needs to be given about tobacco screening and tobacco cessation especially and teenage and young adults Adolescents and teenagers adolescents and young adults. Recommendations should be made for 13 to 17-year-olds to receive HPV vaccines, children should receive regular dental exams that provide sealants and topical fluoride over their teeth once a year and their immunizations should be up-to-date based on their age (CDC, 2014).
