This below was my Biology-related media news.
“To validate the real world uses of osmosis in the medical and industrial fields, a different way of looking at the process was necessary. Three scientists Sophie Marbach, Hiroaki Yoshida, Lydéric Bocquet, with that goal in mind decided to think outside the box. When it comes to the way osmotic processes are studied, each stand is studied individually, like you would a banana and an orange. However, these three decided that it might be in the best interest of scientific progression to look at them on a grander scale; as fruit as opposed to individual categories of fruit. Armed with this new way of thinking, they forged forward and were successful in their endeavors. What they found was a whole new aspect of osmosis that was not previously available to them. And now, thanks to them, that information is now available to other scientist who wish to study this new unchartered territory.”
American Institute of Physics. (2017, May 18). Deconstructing osmosis provides insight for medical and industrial use: A pair of publications provides more accurate and unified understanding of fluid transport through membranes and how to model the behavior with molecular simulations. Science Daily. Retrieved September 15, 2018 from www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/05/170518140204.htm”
