I don’t want you to write a paper about video games in general
The purpose of project 3 is to take what you’ve learned about composing a research paper and taking it one step further. For project 1 and 2, you were able to pick a topic and argue For/Against the topic in general. For project 3, I want you to dig a little deeper. For example, If you’re topic was video games, I don’t want you to write a paper about video games in general, but perhaps you could write about how sexism is portrayed in video games over the last ten years. That allows you to give a brief history of certain game titles, how women are depicted, how has or if it has changed in the past ten years, and even leaves room to predict where it is heading and if that is a good thing or a bad thing, and if it is bad, what we could do to change that. There is more directions to take a paper when you have a more narrow topic instead of a general one. The topic choice is up to you, however, I will have to green light each project before you begin, so I suggest you have a few ideas ready.
Format:
MLA or APA format.
Draft – 4 pages minimum (with your sources ready)
Final Revision – 8 pages minimum
Work Cited page required (does not count towards the 8 pages)
6 sources minimum
I choose Death Penalty as my topic for project 1 and 2
Project 3 is about death Penalty as well
