Due to these improvements in technology it creates a decrease in the price of computers. Subsequently, Arnold Palmer Hospital benefits greatly from this occurrence as this has led to an improved and streamlined layout which has increased efficiency across the board. Additionally, nurses and staff members can now bring technology or computers to the patients instead of needing the patients or themselves to move to get to a stationary computer. This updated layout helps doctors and nurses cater to customers a lot faster in comparison to the old layout which consisted of a racetrack design that made nurses walk a much further distance. Consequently, according to (Heizer, Render, & Munson, 2017) “The new hospitals unique, circular pod design provides a maximally efficient layout in all areas of the hospitals who lack enough nurses. As a result, these innovations in layout create a time savings of around twenty percent which is key in the much-improved success of Arnold Palmer Hospital. It will not be long before this layout becomes the new norm in many hospitals.

Hospitals continuing to innovate, and upgrade is an excellent move if you ask me. The way technology is going these days it’s a must that hospitals keep it going with the trend before they get left behind. Imagine the hospitals that still work with one computer at the nursing station or don’t have the computers to roll around with. Their killing themselves doing more work than other hospital locations which doesn’t make any sense eat this point. Back in the days owning a computer was crazy because they cost so much to have and maintain. Now any and everyone has one in their backyard. Especially having things such as YouTube just to fix it if something happens to it. Not only should hospital change the way they use computers and get information, but they need to change the lighting in the rooms the television and beds for families that are staying the bathrooms, etc. Mostly everything about these rooms should be changed because if not their going to lose out on many patients just by word of mouth. Word of mouth is very important especially when it comes to the hospital. That is why Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida is still one of the most successful hospitals today because when patients leave they are satisfied and happy with their stay.
