This assignment asks students to submit three mission statements for government and non-profit agencies. The total of three can be divided into two non-profit and one governmental or one non-profit and two governmental.

The organizations selected for the assignment cannot be existing organizations, either non-profit or governmental. Developing new, hypothetical non-profits is a challenge but developing new governmental agencies will be an even greater challenge. That what makes this assignment so interesting. The results are often very creative.

Important too is to link the mission statements to the information resources needed to demonstrate/evaluate if the organization is meeting its mission.
