Project Objectives:
To identify two distinct groups of inmates that have contributed to the rising costs of providing healthcare in prisons.
To identify the reasons why the two groups identified are responsible for increased healthcare costs.
To identify a best practice (if it exists) to deliver healthcare services to one or both of these groups which is cost efficient and high quality.
Assignment;
Research the field of Corrections, correctional journals, correctional periodicals, various departments of correction, and other resources to determine if there are specific categories of inmates that are driving up the cost of health care in correctional institutions; and identify if there is a promising program of healthcare delivery that controls the cost of healthcare while not negatively impacting the quality of the services provided.
Format Requirements
