Head-to-Toe Physical Health Assessment
You will use the course text to guide you in completion of a head to toe assessment. A comprehensive health assessment allows an overall view of your patient’s health status. As a registered nurse you must possess the knowledge and tools to promote a healthy and productive lifestyle.
For this task, record a 15 min or less video of yourself completing a physical health assessment on a family member or friend (do not use a patient in a healthcare setting or a child under 18). Use the head to toe assessment guide found in this module’s learning resources to record your findings. Upload your video and a copy of the assessment guide for completion of this assignment.
Assignment Expectations:
Length: Sufficient time to cover each of the points in the head-to-toe physical assessment guide 15 min or less. The entire assessment should be documented in the recording and on the assessment form.
Structure: Use a recording platform of your choice and either upload as an mp4 or share the link directly to the video in the dropbox and upload the completed assessment documentation form.
References: Sources are not required for this assignment.
In this module you will demonstrate a complete head to toe assessment. You will provide a video recording of your assessment as well as written documentation. You do not want to use an actual patient for this assignment, but a friend or family member.
