Literature Review
The literature review focuses on how other researchers have addressed similar questions. It places the study in context and discusses how it will differentiate itself from what is already in the field. I suggest between 7-10 pages for this section but you will continue to add to this as you go. You should have no fewer than 10 scholarly articles as references in this submission. You are attempting to establish what the literature says and where the gap exists that you plan to fill with your project! You may find help at http://www.lib.ncsu.edu/tutorials/litreview/ . Please make sure not to “stack” sources. Weave each source into the relevance of your project and each other. It is usually a good idea to move from the academic scholarly literature, to the national studies, then to state and local and finally anything specifically to your work. Many projects have government reports or state or agency documents in this section compared to what you would find in a thesis lit review but you do need some scholarly peer reviewed journals to set the stage.

Instructor Comments: You did a great job outlining the issue of growing technology, particularly 5G and IOT, and its impact on law enforcement. Be sure to be specific on your population for this project. Some parts of paper seem to address all law enforcement agencies, but your purpose statement is specific in identifying strategies for “law enforcement agencies working under the Department of Homeland Security.” You want to make sure your literature review and other parts of your paper also align to this purpose statement rather than all law enforcement agencies, as you know strategies are different at the local, state and federal level and Homeland Security agencies have a specific mission. You used very good sources for your paper, showing a good grasp of the topic. Your writing is very scholarly, and your formatting, grammar and spelling are great.
